Collins Beach is a little hidden paradise right in the middle of Sydney. It’s tucked away in a national park just a twenty minute walk from manly wharf, and only visible from the water. Once you reach this sun drenched haven of white sand and turquoise water, it’ll be hard to believe you’re still in the city.

The beach is home to a colony of fairy penguins. This is the only colony on the NSW mainland, and these little guys are carefully protected, so if you’re lucky enough to see one of them, make sure you don’t disturb him. This means you can’t bring dogs onto Collins beach, and of course, don’t leave any rubbish behind.

The charm of Collins is its quiet seclusion. You will have to walk to get here, but it’s worth every step!
